Since I started running The Alternative Model Directory in 2010 my perspective on a lot of things has changed, this is mainly to do with the actions of the models and my everyday interaction with them. It was Eve Divyn that showed me that not all strippers are dumb, in fact some know exactly what they're doing and use their brains to their advantage, and that not all are easy and only in the club for looking for dick or a sugar daddy. Many models have proved to me that looks do not determine character. Although I never once thought a nude model was easy and I do see the human body as beautiful, I've always wondered why exactly a model decided to do nude work.
If you're new to this blog let me first explain why I created it. 'The Uncensored and The Uninhibited' was created to showcase edits I did for models, focusing on their nude work. It was created before TAMD, and it's been left unattended while I focused on TAMD. When I decided to ask models to do a personal interview about their nude work, I thought this would be a good place to put it. I will continue interviewing models from time to time on the subject, and this is were they will be posted. While the questions will be the same for each interview, the answers are surely to be different. My first interview is with a model who has made an appearance on TU&TU once before, Elena Bathory.
Ashley Demonic: What are you limits when it comes to nude/adult work?
Elena Bathory: I don't shoot with toys like dildo's and I absolutely don't shoot porn. Some people may think that erotic nude photography is porn but to me porn is any type of insertion. Alternatively, some people will also say that erotic photography with insertion can be artful and not so much porn. Everyone has a different view on it.

AD: What do you have to say for those who think nude models are "sluts", or are easy?
EB: I think that is a very ignorant way of thinking. Just because a model likes to pose naked doesn't mean she is easy or a slut. It means she is comfortable with her body and enjoys showing it off.
AD: How do you deal with those who leave derogatory comments on your photos, and/or send you sexualized messages?
EB: Those who leave perverted comments sometimes I tell them off then ban them and sometimes I just ban them. No point in wasting time and energy on loser pervs ha ha. Every now and then I do get sexualized messages, I just ignore these. Like I said, no point in wasting my time.
AD: How do the sexual comments make you feel? Do you ever regret doing nude work after reading them?
EB: I understand that I am a nude model and dealing with sexual comments on my photos kind of goes with the job. People see me naked and people are naturally going to say something perverted instead of keeping it to themselves. So, they don't really make me feel a certain way. I guess it get's me annoyed sometimes to see how disrespectful people can be. Luckily, I don't deal with that often. My fans are nice:) Oh and no it doesn't make me regret doing nude work.
AD: It's been said that models who do nude work have some sort of abuse in their past, do you feel this applies to you? If so, is there any connection between your modeling and the abuse?
EB: I haven't heard that about nude models, just about strippers and porn stars. Also, it's been said that they have bad relationships with their fathers. Well, I was never sexually abused and I'm kind of a daddy's girl. This is possibly true about some nude models or anyone in the adult industry but it doesn't apply to me. I model nude because I am comfortable with my body and I love to be naked. Especially outdoors in nature. It gives me a rush and a sort of natural high. I'm not going to look this way forever and I am happy that I will be able to look back and say, "I used to look like that and I had a really fun profession". Maybe there is another reason I model nude. There's a psychological reason to why anyone does anything or why they choose the profession they do.

AD: Another thing people say as an insult to nude models is, "Daddy must be proud.". How does your family react you your nude modeling?
EB: As I said, I am kind of a daddy's girl so my dad doesn't know about my nude modeling. He just knows I model and has never asked me if I modeled nude because I think he wouldn't want to know. If he asked me I would be honest and tell him. He loves me and that wouldn't change anything. My mom knows I model nude, but we have never really discussed it. She realizes I am an adult and that I know how to take care of myself.
AD: Do you feel as though once you do nude work, your career changes? Do you get more offers to do nude work over other types?
EB: Once you accept nude work it really does change your career. For the better I think. You don't really have to do nude work to be a successful model but it does help if you want to make a living at it. It's not the only way to have a real career as a model but it's definitely one of the top ways. I do get more offers to do nude work because I advertise myself as a nude model. I recently started doing freelance modeling full time so about 90% of my shoots are nude or end up being a nude shoot.
AD: What other misconceptions would you like to address?
EB: Hmmm I don't know, maybe how people may think nude models are stuck up but really they say that about models in general, haha! Everyone is different and you shouldn't judge someone when you don't even know them. Many people have met me and told me that they expected me to be a stuck up bitch because of my photos but that I surprised them by being the total opposite of what they expected.
